Three slots, three jobs. Pull a blunt blade through the coarse slot to set the edge, the medium slot to refine it, and the fine slot to finish — a few passes each and the knife bites again.

The handle is moulded to be held away from the blade, and a rubber foot keeps the base planted on the worktop while you pull.
